Holiday Harbor is a Sarasota, Florida neighborhood mostly featuring large homes of high value. This community dates back to 1957 and has continued to develop over the years. It is one of the most geographically unique neighborhoods in Sarasota County. Located on the shores of Little Sarasota Bay and west of the Tamiami Trail between Siesta Key and Bird Key, Holiday Harbor has the distinction of being in an elevated zone despite being a waterfront community. The real estate at Holiday Harbor ranges from the cozy to the magnificent. Some of the waterfront estates are spectacular gated mansions with spas and swimming pools listed at under $8 million. At the other end of the housing spectrum, Florida ranch-style homes located a bit further inland sometimes come on the market at less than $150K.
House hunters who arrive at Holiday Harbor are fascinated by the bayfront that many homes enjoy. This residential community is ideal for those who enjoy fishing and boating. Hidden Harbor Marina, located just north of the neighborhood, recently expanded its eastern canal for the convenience of its residents.
Although Holiday Harbor is a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, it is by no means isolated. The Westfield Sarasota Square Mall and surrounding shopping district is within walking distance. When it comes to going to the beach, Holiday Harbor residents can choose between the dazzling white sandy beaches of Siesta Key to the north and the seashell-rich shores of Casey Key to the south. Golf courses, racquet clubs and state parks are within a short driving distance. School-age students are served by Gulf Gate Elementary, Sarasota Middle and Suncoast Polytechnical High Schools.
Holiday Harbor is directly off Tamiami Trail just south of the Stickney Point Bridge. You'll see a lot of luxury new home construction on generously sized lots, with no bridges to the bay on deep water canals. Holiday Harbor is easily recognized by Hidden Harbor Marina.
